In this post, we will be comparing the JBL GO vs Logitech X100, which are two of the most popular Bluetooth speakers in India.

There are a number of Bluetooth speakers available in the market right now. Trusted brands like JBL, Logitech, Bose and UE offer some great speakers in India. Both JBL Go and Logitech X100 are priced competitively and they are two of the best Bluetooth speakers under Rs.2000 in India. But they differ greatly when we dive much deeper into their specifications. Here we will analyze them in detail considering several factors.

Build Quality:

JBL Go is well built with a rubber finish, which gives it better durability. This ultra-portable outdoor Bluetooth speaker is lightweight as it only weighs 132 grams. It can be easily carried in your pocket as it is very compact.

This Bluetooth speaker has a built-in strap hook to enable you to attach a lanyard or a clip, which will allow you to hang it on your bag or fingers and carry it conveniently.

The JBL Go has a simple and minimalistic look with 5 clickable buttons. The 5 buttons are for Power, Bluetooth, Volume Up, Volume Down and the last one is for taking calls. AUX cable port, micro USB port for charging and microphone are on the left side of it.

The Logitech X100 looks like a circular tiffin box and it will quite literally fit in the palm of your hand. It also comes with a hook on the top that allows you to hang the speaker from a backpack or doorknob.

The speaker is designed in such a way that the sound is firing from one side of it. It is available in various colour options including Orange, Yellow, Dark Grey, and Green.

It comes with four clickable buttons which function for on/off, Bluetooth connectivity, volume up and volume down.

I liked the Logitech X100 design over JBL Go because of its circular and vibrant design. The rectangular design of JBL Go looked unpleasant to me.

Sound Quality:

The most important factor of any portable speaker is its sound quality. The loudness and clarity of the music are not the best you can expect from a Bluetooth speaker but considering its price point, their output is phenomenal. Both JBL Go and Logitech X100 looks to be tiny in size but they offer great audio output. Both can fill a normal room with its sound when music is played.

The JBL Go has a frequency response of 180Hz-20KHz which means you will not be hearing the sub-bass sounds under 180 Hz. In other words, the Low-frequency sounds won’t be heard properly through it. Serious testing revealed us that the Logitech X100 is able to produce a louder audio output than the JBL Go. It also delivered sub-bass sounds that were missing in JBL Go as its frequency response is 150-20KHz. But we felt that the sound clarity was better from JBL Go. At peak volume, we experienced sound distortion from the X100. This was something we did not see in the JBL counterpart.

Connectivity:

JBL Go has a connectivity range of 3 meter which is approximately 10 feet whereas the Logitech counterpart has a range of 30 feet. The clear winner here is Logitech X100.

Connecting your smartphone or laptop with them is very simple. Just by pressing the Bluetooth button on the speaker the device will be shown on your phone’s Bluetooth connection list. They also support Aux-in cable connectivity, so you can connect it with any device like Smartphone, laptop, or computer to play music or watch movies for a better audio experience.

Both Bluetooth speaker sports a microphone that has echo-cancellation & noise-cancellation technology which allows you to attend your important calls while listening to music.

Battery Backup:

Both JBL Go and Logitech X100 are powered by Lithium-ion batteries. The JBL Go has a 600mAh battery that will take 1.5 hours to fully charge. It has a continuous standby time of 5 hours. The standby time of Logitech X100 is also 5 hours. On a budget Bluetooth speaker, this is acceptable. They provide a micro USB cable to charge the device.

Other Features:

The JBL Go is comparatively priced higher than the Logitech X100. It has a transducer of 1*40mm and output power of 3W. On the other hand, the Logitech X100 has an output power of 1.5W only. Both Bluetooth speakers have a warranty of 1 year.
They are available in multiple colour variants as well. The JBL Go is weighed much lighter than its counterpart with a compact product dimension.

Final Verdict:

Overall, if your concern is only the sound quality, we recommend the Logitech X100 over JBL Go. They both are impressive portable Bluetooth speakers that offer a lot for the price. Both are loud enough, the build quality is good, produces quality sound and has a built-in microphone. But the Logitech X100 score more points in connectivity range, standout design, and overall sound quality. The JBL Go is recommended if you need a lightweight Bluetooth speaker from a trusted brand that has decent sound quality.

Moreover, If you are ready to consider Bluetooth speaker from brands outside the trusted names, then there are many options that offer much better value at this price range than JBL Go and Logitech X100. Read about them at the list of 10 best Bluetooth speakers under 2000 Rupees in India.
